global advance
Global Advance – who are we? Tanya and I have had a burden for worldwide missions for some time. Seems the Lord is always bringing someone or a group to our lives that is somehow involved in the mission field. In what is called “The Great Commission,” Jesus gave a mandate to the Apostles (that includes us you know) on a mountain in Galilee. He said, “Go into ALL the world and proclaim the Good News to all creation” (Mark 16:15). Notice He did not say just stay in your town or neighborhood. Here is our vision and mandate: - Maintain a dialog with the different groups we support to learn how God is using them.
- Give you access to their blogs, websites, emails, Facebook pages etc. so you can learn what they do and get to know them.
- Keep our list updated of those God directs in different regions and areas of ministry.
- Provide the structure for each of you that want to, to go and visit a mission and experience what God is doing in a foreign land (no, you won’t sleep in tents and eat bugs).
Foreign missionaries have probably one of the toughest callings in the Kingdom. Some at MZHOP have been missionaries and can attest! Think for a minute. They are called to a foreign land that probably does not have the comforts we take for granted (you know, things like A/C, ice, reliable electricity, clean water, mail, Walmart). They must learn new languages, cultures, foods, and living conditions. Now, when you get there, you have to support yourself. I think I would be like Jonah–you want me to go where?!?! ...but for those called, it is their life. We are asking for your help with these specific requests:- Pray for them–especially encouragement and favor.
- Become an email penpal! Encourage them, begin a dialog with them.
- Consider being a partner financially.
- Read their blogs, Facebook pages, etc. It is fun and educational.
Please help us help them. If you feel a calling, let us know–we would love to help you. Keep checking this site–we will have updates periodically!Jim Nareaujimn@mzhop.orgTanya Nareautanyan@mzhop.org
