MZHOP is partnering with the Lord to launch our 24/7 Prayer Room with worship and
prayer as described in Revelation 5:8. In Revelation 5:8, the elders
are depicted before the throne with harps (representing worship with
music) and a bowl of incense (representing the prayers of God’s people).
The Prayer Room is the heartbeat of all that goes on at MZHOP and we
are seeking to establish perpetual worship and intercession in the
Asheville/Hendersonville area. We will begin holding extended prayer
meetings on Fridays beginning April 2nd with the aim of going 24/7."Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints." Revelation 5:8
Within a two-hour prayer meeting structure, musicians, singers, and
intercessors lift their voices, asking God to fulfill His promise and
give the nations of the earth to Jesus as His inheritance. The prayer
meetings function with live worship teams and/or individuals leading
worship and prayer in one of the following four formats: Intercession,
Worship with the Word, Devotional Worship, or Prophetic Worship.
Prayer Room Formats
INTERCESSION - This prayer format is designed to use the prayers
of the New Testament apostles and Old Testament prophetic decrees to
engage in unified, corporate intercession for citywide revival as the
worship team provides an anointed atmosphere for people to intercede
with various corporate prayer concerns. This is an “open mic,” corporate
time of prayer. Other intercession sessions will focus on a specific
prayer directive given to us by our lead intercessor or specific
designated prayer focuses (such as the Church, Israel or revival), but
is also open for others to come and pray as led by the Holy Spirit.
WORSHIP WITH THE WORD - As one
of the formats used at MZHOP, a worship team provides an anointed
atmosphere for people to meditate on God’s Word in a focused time of
study; the worship team selects a passage to sing through antiphonally
as they expound on the themes within each verse, thus "worshiping with
the Word.”
DEVOTIONAL WORSHIP - This prayer format focuses on creating an
anointed atmosphere in the Prayer Room for individuals to commune with
God in meditation and Bible study.
PROPHETIC WORSHIP - This is a corporate time of sustained worship
with some spontaneous prophetic singing and is designed to corporately
bring us into the presence of the Lord within the Harp and Bowl model of
worship and intercession. During worship, discerned themes that the
Holy Spirit is emphasizing (holiness, healing, deliverance, impartation,
etc.) are expressed, with opportunities for ministry. (Zech. 4:6; Jn. 3:1-8; Jas. 5:13-16)
