Melchizedek House of Prayer mission base's Egress internship 10-01 will be June 22 - December 19, 2010.


Egress 10-01 is an intensive program designed to prepare interns to enter into the fascination of God through 24/7 worship and prayer, preaching, teaching, ministry and works of justice.

Date/Time:  Tuesdays, 10AM - 5PM from June 22 - December 19 (except for two weeks off--one for vacation and one for Thanksgiving)


Location:  South Buncombe County Library
                 260 Overlook Rd, Asheville, NC

                 (We will be meeting in the glassed-in room on the left upon entering.)

Cost vs. Ministry/Prayer: 
This topic will be covered more in depth during our first day of class. The cost of the internship will be subsidized by time spent in prayer, ministry and works of justice. Interns will only be responsible for the cost of purchasing the required books (please see the list on this page). Also, please note that housing and meals are not provided by MZHOP at this time, and interns will need to provide their own transportation.


  • All interns will spend a total of 90 hours in prayer, and will also spend time journaling their encounters with the Lord.
  • Individuals enrolled will spend a total of 90 hrs in ministry/works of justice during the time of internship.
  • Couples enrolled will spend a total of 130 hrs in ministry/works of justice, with at least 40 hrs of this time spent ministering together.


Ministry/works of justice can include areas such as:


  • Ministry helps in MZHOP
  • Evangelism
  • Counseling
  • In home visitation
  • Administration
  • Preaching
  • Teaching
  • Worship leading, playing, singing etc.
  • Using money, food, etc. to give to the poor/needy, i.e. $10 given to buy a meal would equate to 1 ministry hour.

Other Information

At times we will utilize the International House of Prayer Prayer Room web stream where the interns will spend directed time in prayer, worship and studies. The IHOP-KC Prayer Room web stream is now available free to utilize during your prayer time at home as well (internet access required).

After graduating interns will have the option of being staffed full-time or part-time with MZHOP as intercessory missionaries and in their giftings as the Lord leads the MZHOP leadership. If you have questions or suggestions, feel free to let us know. We look forward to working with you.
